EESTEC Chairpersons' Meeting
EESTEC Chairpersons Meeting came as an idea in 2006, where the need for an international event to make research and development in EESTEC was essential. As the name speaks, ECM is an annual event of EESTEC, where all chairpersons or high officers of local committees, international Board members, EESTEC trainers and sessions facilitators come together to organise soft skill trainings on various topics, participate in working sessions to develop new ideas for EESTEC and give feedback to international bodies. Mainly, ECM consists of approximately 60 people and includes three main parts: Trainings, Working sessions and LC Fair.
During every ECM, specific training topics are chosen by International Board and EESTEC Training Team, to train chairpersons on various soft skills, such as Fundraising, Presentational Skills, Team Building and etc., to improve their personal qualities for being a chairperson of a Local Committee, and indirectly increasing the level of the local committees by training their chairpersons. All trainings are conducted by official EESTEC trainers and the success of the trainings is increasing every year.
To discuss about new creative and innovative ideas and to develop the already existing structure of EESTEC; several working sessions are organised during ECM, where contribution and comments from every participant is asked and with an action plan, the follow ups of the discussions are made by facilitators
and the general quality and variety of activities inside EESTEC is improved.
LC Fair was organised for the first time in Tallinn during third ECM, to increase the network among local committees, to promote EESTEC to local students in the host university and to improve the connection between students, universities and companies, by providing them opportunity to build a stand for representation of themselves and visiting each other freely as an open fair to anybody.
