Profile
Hola everyone!
My name is Adrián Pérez Orozco. I was born on 28th September 1989 in Madrid, Spain and I'm a student of Telecommunications Engineering at the ETSI Telecomunicación of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. I joined LC Madrid in 2007 almost by accident, and eventually I started to notice how big the thing I was getting into was, and to get more and more interested and involved every day.
Since the very first moment, I've participated in as many EESTEC events as I've been able to. My very first experience came organizing our 2008 workshop in LC Madrid. At that point I did not really know what EESTEC was, but I somehow got involved in some organizational tasks. Little by little, organizing that event opened my eyes and showed me what EESTEC actually was. After organizing my second event, I became CP of LC Madrid, and was then when I started participating in events abroad. Once there, there was no way to stop the EESTEC spirit getting into me, and I started to actively participate in anything which could be related to EESTEC.
Eventually, my first congress came. It was in Belgrade and Sarajevo where I had the chance to experience such a big event for the first time. A lots of thoughts were in my mind, but none of them about becoming part of the international board. I was getting very interested in cooperating at international level, but didn't think I could become one of "those very important people". But in the end things came in a different way, and after a lot of thinking and talking with several people, I decided to take a further step and get my EESTEC journey to a higher level.
My main goals this year are to achieve a better diversity in EESTEC LCs through establishment of new committees in those areas we are lack of, as well as improving the relation of EESTEC with other external associations. Both these aims will definitely help to improve the reputation of EESTEC and the quality of our network. For these and all other achievements we want to get during this year, we'll need to cooperate not only as board members, but also with as many EESTECers as possible. Any contribution you could provide to make it happen will be more than welcome, just contact us!
See you around Europe!
