Congress 2012 in general

Dear EESTECers,

We are deeply proud to announce the 26th EESTEC Congress between the 29th of March till 6th of April 2012. We will start the first half of our 26th Congress in Tallinn, Estonia's largest city and capital of the County, one of the top10 digital cities of the world and also a European Capital of Culture for 2011. Here you may have the chance to see one of the best preserved old towns in Europe and experience great nights in traditional and fashionable places. Besides partying we'll have a lot of work with general meetings, trainings, working sessions, open day and not to forget, making friends.

The second half of Congress will take place in Riga, Latvia's largest city and capital of the Country, also one of the largest cities in Northern Europe, where we may admire its Art Nouveau/Jugendstil and 19th century wooden architecture at the same time we will enjoy its sophisticated night life.

Congress 2012

Congress is statutory meeting that is held every year approximately one week duration. As the most important event for the organisation, Congress gathers each year International Board, Oversight Committee, representatives of all Local Committees, International Trainers and other members (Bodies) who are also responsible for quality functioning of the organisation.  Connections among students are improved but also the most important issues about the operation of the organisation are discussed. Students get to know the functioning of the organisation, they meet new people, and make international friendships important for their future career.


During Congress there will also be Open Day, which can be counted as a "fair" where there are booths for participating companies, universities, EESTEC Local Committees and international Board, and every representative is free to visit other booths for information exchange about any idea or opportunity. It is an off-the-chart event to strengthen the relationships between students, universities and companies, to fill in the gap of lack of communication for every side that is a part of the event.

This fair is open to all EESTEC Congress participants which are more than 100, coming from different faculties of Europe, as well as the local students who are eager to learn about career and academic opportunities. Additionally, during the day, we will announce the winners of EESTEC Android Competition that is supported by Google.
