ESA offers funding attendance to International Astronautical Congress (Korea)
ESA is now offering students generous funding to attend a number of the world’s leading space conferences, both within Europe and abroad.
Conferences are available in many different disciplines including physical sciences, satellite navigation, earth observation, spacecraft technology and safety. Many of the conferences are leading in their field and offer the opportunity for students to meet and present their research in front of international experts and researchers.
The list of conferences supported is
now available on the ESA Education portal. Interested students should
first check the website to see if they are eligible to apply for the
programme. Applicants to the programme must submit an abstract to the
conference organisers (by the abstract deadline) and apply to ESA Education
for sponsorship (by the ESA sponsorship deadline).
In a special collaboration with other
space agencies, ESA is offering up to 20 students* the unique opportunity
to attend the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2009
in South Korea. This is the world’s largest annual space gathering
covering all areas of space science and engineering and featuring a
dedicated student programme with special guest speakers and social events.
Students interested in participating
at the IAC must first submit an abstract at http://www.iac2009.kr/ by 2nd March.
