Electrify: Mobility of Tomorrow
JLC Karlsruhe is presenting you its first EESTEC workshop ever! And what a workshop it will be. For our very first one we opted for an electrifying topic: Discover with us the mobility of tomorrow!
Electric cars will be an essential part of our future and during this workshop we will find out everything about the latest innovations, unsolved problems and further research possibilities. We have gathered the best lecturers to enable a thorough insight into the topic. We will also make it a dynamic experience, with exclusive lab visits at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
But why did we choose to offer you this topic?Karlsruhe is the ideal place to learn about electric vehicles. The region is rich with world class automotive and engineering companies. It is a key part of automotive history, being the birthplace of the first motor vehicle, developed by Carl Benz in 1885. The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the same school at which Benz received his mechanical engineering degree, represents one of Germany’s most prestigious universities. Various outstanding scientists have studied here and thus contributed to the university’s strong reputation. For instance, it was on this very campus that Heinrich Hertz, one of the pioneers of electrical engineering proved the existence of electromagnetic waves!
Besides the academic part, you will have the opportunity to experience the best of Germany! You can drink the world famous German beer and taste amazing traditional food like Maultaschen and Käsespätzle. We will have so much fun on the unique Campus-City Rally, enjoy one of the sunniest cities in Germany by sunbathing in the huge park behind the beautiful Karlsruhe Palace and on one of the many beautiful nearby lakes!
Prepare yourself for several unforgettable parties, International Night and a special German Night. Let’s conquer Karlsruhe’s bars and clubs together and spread the EESTEC spirit everywhere! One evening we will even take you to a “running dinner”. You have no idea what this means? This and many more surprises await you in Karlsruhe.
