4th IT Sprint finished, here's how it went Jan. 16, 2021, 9:09 p.m.

While many student organizations struggled with their work during this time of pandemic, EESTEC has managed to successfully adapt to the online environment. One of the biggest selling points of our Association towards students has always been free Workshops and Operational Events our branches organize to support our members in their professional growth. So when the pandemic hit and student mobility became limited, hardworking people in our Association took this matter into their own hands and transformed the way our events are being organized, thus welcoming online editions of many of our Operational Events that are crucial for development of EESTEC in general.

Our very first Operational Event that got to ...

Article based on an interview with Selim Naji from LC Zurich
Author: Katarina Ivosevic

“It is a big and beautiful world.

Most of us live and die in the same corner where we were born and never get to see any of it.

I don’t want to be most of us.”

Oberyn Martell, Game of Thrones

And finally, I have time. I’ve heard stories from a friend of mine almost a year ago about this city situated in the South of the Romania in the Romanian Plain. It has prospered as a regional trading center ...

How everything started - LC Gliwice March 9, 2017, 8:47 p.m.

Article written by Bartosz Kawłatow in cooperation with Alumni Strategy Team

Many people think that success is an outcome of hard work and great luck. In the case of establishing Local Committee Gliwice, the "lucky" part was ironically not really lucky for other eestec members. Because of the last minute cancellation on Krakow's KrakYourNet '11, only domestic LC's could be able to fill the free spot. Unfortunately, nobody from the members of other polish committees applied and hosts started looking for the missing participant through the personal contacts on other polish Universities. Luckily, thanks to my friends I found out about the workshop and decided to apply. It ...

How everything started - LC Zagreb Feb. 27, 2017, 10:49 a.m.

Article written by Dalibor Jelača in cooperation with Alumni Strategy Team

Starting an LC was very easy by the idea but very difficult in practice. Was there much to do really? You gather some people, you gather some money, you organize a workshop, you invite some people from other countries and then you spend the money on cool things that support our international atmosphere :). So I gathered some friends and we gathered some people. Then I started motivating people with ideas I had. We had a few meetings. And then they left for a while :)

Imagine the situation: 3rd of May, 1986, 33 different families sitting around the table and attending the final meeting of Congres or as we may say founding meeting of EESTEC in the Peace Palace in The Hague. Christmas is just around the corner and we all like to spend time with our friends and families. And when we say that EESTEC is family for us, we mean it. All are collecting exciting memories in the best company. And what is more, our family got a bit bigger recently - a new Observer was formed in Milan.

In this joyful time we’d like to thank all of those who have stood by ...

What is EESTEC? Nov. 27, 2016, 10:09 a.m.

Article written by Andrej Filipic with the contribution of Viktoria Paschalidou.

The EESTEC community has lately been buzzing intensely around a simple question.

The whole avalanche of discussions started with a short text about an impactful personal experience, that resonated with many of us. The author of this text, Viktoria Paschalidou, an internationally and locally (hyper)active member of LC Xanthi was helping with recruitment in a recently formed Observer in her hometown of Thessaloniki, as she was faced with a challenge.

Whenever recruiting members or forming a partnership with a company, we, EESTECers, are always asked the same question, “What is EESTEC?”, to which we almost automatically reply “EESTEC is the European ...

EESTEC Technology Challenge (abbreviation: EESTech Challenge) is a new concept that aims to make our Association stronger and to give the chance to Commitments to implement a project of technical international character.
